Yeehaw! Hello everyone! Thanks in advance for reading this blog. I hope you enjoy them like I do! :) ANYWAY. Happy Monday, once again! This was a CRAZY weekend, but it was a lot of fun!
Saturday morning I took my THIRD SAT and I believe it went well! I am finally done with all of my testing, so I can check that stress off of the to-do list! :) Right after that, I headed up to the studio for a rehearsal for Sunday morning's big show and for preparation for the trip to Nashville in November. It was a packed day, but it was fun!
Sunday morning was the show for the Heritage Horse Festival in San Marcos. It was a GREAT venue. There were so many beautiful horses and talented riders performing. There were also a BUNCH of Golden Retriever puppies running around... SO CUTE! :D It was a HOT day to be sitting around waiting to go on, but going on made it all worth it! :) I performed two acoustic covers with Ken on guitar. Later, I performed my three originals! The City Limits band (A killer cover-band that performs around San Diego) backed me up, so I got to "sing in front of a band", which is always so fun. (Ten points if you know where that lyric is from! ;) ) My backup vocalists Aja and Jackie sang backup and, of course, Ken rocked the guitar like always. I am very lucky to have all of these wonderful individuals backing me up. The City Limits band was especially wonderful. They learned my songs in a matter of a day or two and had them down so tightly for the show! I was not only impressed, but so honored to have them ROCK on the songs that Ken, Becky, and I wrote! Special thanks to Les on guitar, Chuck on bass, and Larry on drums. YEEHAW! I had a few people come out to the show (Hi Taylor, Michael, Bruce, Dan, and the girls' families! :) ) and made a few new friends/fans! :) I am making a video montage that will be up this week. If you have a YouTube account, you can subscribe to my channel at http://www.youtube.com/christinemariesings and get notified when the video is posted. It should be up tomorrow! If you don't have an account, don't worry! I will post the video here next week if you forget to check my channel later this week.

I am so thankful that you all have been voting for me in the SmashTune contest. So far, I am sitting in fourth place, but quickly climbing towards third! The top video has about 200 more votes than I do, but we have time! I have to remain in the Top Ten to get into the Knock-Out Round in order to be up for the Grand Prize of $1000. That money will definitely go towards my career and it would be much needed and MUCH MUCH MUCH appreciated. Here is the link! Click this and vote as much as you can! You can vote at LEAST once a day, maybe even twice! It all depends on the system. :) PLEASE vote! http://smashtune.com/view/ChristineMarie .
I am returning to Country at the Merc for their special Two Year Anniversary show on October 23rd! I'll be singing with the Ranch Rockers, who are AMAZING by the way, and I cannot wait! I LOVE love love the Merc. If any of you are in the area and available, I would be so excited to see you there. The information is all on my calendar page, right at this link: http://christinemariesings.com/calendar.html
I am very excited for my trip to Nashville in November! I miss it so much. I will have more details about that trip as it gets closer. :)
I hope you all have a wonderful week. It's October, which means fall is essentially HERE, so we can start getting a LITTLE bit excited for our holidays. :) Halloween is in 20 days! Ahhh! What are you planning to be? I haven't decided yet. Devin and I kind of want to coordinate... but we can't think of anything that isn't totally girly (like Allie and Noah from The Notebook... If only... *sigh*). :) I look forward to reading your comments!
I love you!!!!!
