There You Go Makin' My Heart Beat Again!!

Happy Monday everyone! It feels so late, but it's only 10:15! This is my last blog of the summer... I am sad! I feel like I didn't really have a summer because my vacation didn't start until August, really! Tennessee in June and Europe in July just made this summer fly by. I did have a great one, though, and I am happy to say that I have accomplished a whole lot and learned a tremendous amount.

I want to start simply by letting you guys know about my incredible backup singers. They have been working hard with my producers on the backup vocals and I hear they sound fantastic! You'll be able to hear us together next month. :) Next Monday I will have a video introducing them to you all, but right now I'll let you know who they are. Aja Alycean is a girl I actually did a couple of KSON contests with (She won the Billy Ray contest, if you remember!). She is an incredible talent and is working as a solo artist here in San Diego as well as doing her new job with me fantastically. :) I am really excited to have her on board. Jackie Foster is a girl I have known forEVER through theater! She is the sweetest girl (she used to call herself my mini-me... and she really is :) ) who has an unbelievable voice. They are both going to rock so hard in the band. I really hope I can debut them at the Merc on September 11th! You'll meet them next Monday, so get excited for that (see www.christinemariesings.com)!

Next time I hit the studio, we are finishing up Give It Back, the first single from the next trio of songs from the Christine Marie crew! I LOVE this song, and I know you girlies will as well. It's a rocker for sure. I don't want to give away too much, but I hope you are excited to hear it!

GUESS WHAT. I have made a promise to myself to upload some kind of video content to my YouTube every single WEEK. :) That means I am making my YouTube comeback. You will be hearing all sorts of covers, acoustic originals, live performances, and video blogs, both in my room and on the go. They will be posted here every Monday, so you can always look forward to some kind of media from me! :) Speaking of... here is my cover of Sugarland's latest single, 'Stuck like Glue'. You won't want to miss this one... I even RAP in it... I know what you are thinking, but trust me. Just watch. :)

In completely unrelated news, I have to show my support for my "big brother" James. His new album with the Nickelodeon group Big Time Rush (You must watch their show. It's adorable) comes out in early October! I think it comes out on the 11th... but whenever it is, I would love if you guys would support them. I am really proud of that group and how far they have come. They are truly a great group of guys with immense talent. Not country, but music is music and James deserves your lovin'! :)

So, I start senior year next Monday. Yikes, where did the time go!? Devin started college this morning. I am so proud of him! :) But now I have summer reading to finish, college applications to dominate, and singles to write... so I am off for now! I look forward to reading all of your comments! YEEHAW! Keep it country, y'all.
