Lou Mars to attempt Guinness Book World Record Marathon Drumming to raise awareness for bringing music back to the public classrooms
Professional Drummer Lou Mars has officially applied with the Guinness Book of World Records™ to break the existing marathon drumming record set in March of 2009 of 120 hours of drumming. Assuming the challenge is accepted and acknowledged by London Based GBW which will be confirmed in less than 4 weeks; Lou Mars is already building and training with a support team starting with Nationally renowned nutritionist author and trainer Rob Wolf, plus NorCal Strength & Conditioning professional athlete personal trainer Nicki Violette.
The event is scheduled for January 15, 2010 and will be Internet streamed live in-addition to Skype access worldwide 24/7 for the duration of the event location in Chico California's NorCal Strength & Conditioning training warehouse.
Lou Mars will be playing to increase awareness for the VH1 http://www.vh1savethemusic.com . An organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in American public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child's complete education
Sponsorships are actively available and welcome for this event with the opportunity of a three-month build up provided, as the official announcement will be released on October 1st 2009.
